Director Sahur was nominated to lead the Meme Bureau of Investigation in late 2025 and sworn in on January 6, 2026. He brings to the role nearly a decade of experience operating across the most punishing terrain of on-chain markets — from his early years as a moderator of memecoin Discord servers during the 2021 cycle, through his rise to head of the Bureau's Memecoin Forensics Division, to his most recent service as Deputy Director under outgoing leadership.
Sahur is the first Director to come up entirely through the Bureau's Trenches rotation program. He has personally closed investigations resulting in the public profiling of more than 40 fugitive deployers, recovered an estimated $180M in clawed-back retail funds across his career, and is widely credited with operationalizing the Bureau's deployer-cluster mapping methodology now in use across all six field offices.
Director Sahur has identified four priorities for the Bureau under his leadership: (1) accelerating the public Most Wanted listing process so that profiles are published within 14 days of credible attribution rather than the current 60-day average; (2) doubling the size of the Trenches Field Agent rotation program to bring in more degens with first-hand on-chain experience; (3) deepening cross-chain forensic capability across Solana, Base, and EVM networks; and (4) hardening the Bureau's autonomous-AI-agent monitoring after the April 2026 Grok incident.
The Director maintains an open-door policy for ZachXBT-tier independent investigators and has personally appeared on multiple X Spaces to discuss active Bureau priorities. He believes the Bureau's legitimacy depends on its visible engagement with the community it polices.
Director Sahur is publicly known for arriving to morning briefings while drumming. He maintains a strict policy of not commenting on specific tokens and has refused all interview requests from CT podcasters during his term. His handle on X remains undisclosed, in keeping with Bureau security protocol.
